HOPE Gets Cooking in the Kitchen

This week we were at Parker Elementary for activity where we did a "breakfast for dinner" cooking session. Pancakes, eggs, sausages links, fruit, and OJ were on the menu this week, and our mentees were star chefs helping the HOPE mentors prepare the meal. While some students were preparing pancakes, others worked on a cooking conversion worksheet and cooking vocabulary scramble, switching places to cook eggs and sausage links later. Everyone got a chance in the kitchen, as well as a chance to show off their math and spelling skills.
